Thank you for displaying the piano rhythm or old time rock and roll. The left hand sounds ok, the right hand is not exactly what the piano plays throughout the song. The piano player for bob seger could easily help all us musician out by posting his piano part and save us piano player the frustation of trying to play exactly what he plays. Thank you.

First post first off, Thank you for what you are doing for me.
If you could go way back to 2008 with me and explain a little better the technique in the Old Time Rock and Roll where you are comping on the F chord and throw in the sweet accent (looks like a slide into a Bb and D). I am not making it sound sweet.
Is there a rule on how old a post is to comment on it?

hi chris,

hope you're feeling better

this video is really helpful but i think my understanding is a bit off somewhere
is the C C C C C Bb A G outside the twelve bar form?
if i play a long to the recording it seem to be 16 bars like so
I-I-I-I
IV-IV-IV-IV
V-V-V-V
I-I-V-V
is that right or am i talking absolute rubbish? (sorry am a bit of a noob)

Hi Filip!

sorry for the delayed response... I'm having some health problems at the moment. Need as much rest as possible!

The lyrics are something like, "Don't try and take me to no tango, Id rather hear a blues or funky old soul".

Try doing a search in google for the words: "old time rock and roll lyrics"
