Piano is a Journey - It takes time
Here is a favorite quote of mine:

Don’t feel like you have to get to the end of your journey right now… just keep taking small steps.
I can teach you a new trick on piano in about 10-15min, its just a small nugget… But if you start collecting these nuggets, pretty soon you’re rich!
In other words, practice for 5min here, 10min there. Don’t get overwhelmed by how much knowledge there is out there! Just focus on the next step. …every once in a while, take a breath and look back at how far you’ve traveled.
You’ll be amazed.
Thanks for the advice o.o It really got me wondering why I haven’t thought like that. I always get overwhelmed by how much that needs to get done, but I always forget that if I do things little by little it’ll eventually all get done and that I’ve done it for myself. =]

Yeah… I run around like a chicken with my head cut off much of the time trying to get stuff done. There is soo much to do its overwhelming sometimes! Just keep plugging along!
Practice for 5min here, 10min there - excellent advice for beginners. Often we are overwhelmed by the amount of work we have to do. The hardest thing to do is to start. I’ve told my students - just get to the piano.
Yes i agree for that kind of advice this makes you easy to learn how to play it but if you want you can watch piano tutorials

My father, a diesel mechanic, was, for a period of time was a lorry driver. He used to tell me that I always wanted to be to the destination before I had begun the journey that I needed to focus on the journey and that actually that was the most interesting part where things happened.
